Michael Pailthorpe is currently Executive Director of Variety WA.

Raised on a dairy farm in the south west town of Harvey, Michael moved to Perth to complete a Bachelor of Business with a marketing major at Curtin University.

His marketing career commenced with Transperth and eventually took him to Sydney where he was appointed the State Manager for World Vision NSW&ACT. He completed an MBA at the Macquarie Graduate school of Management.

He was the inaugural CEO of Habitat for Humanity Australia and during his 4 ½ year tenure oversaw the expansion of the organisation to all states and into the Asia Pacific region.

He returned to Perth to oversee the commercial operations of the YMCA across 40 sites throughout WA.

He is married to Jodi and has three young sons.
