T-SHIRTS are a staple in any wardrobe and now with Variety, The Children’s Charity you can do your bit to transform the lives of Australia’s children in need and satisfy your hunger for the latest designer must-have.
Ten of Australia’s most talented designers have joined forces with Variety, The Children’s Charity to produce the inaugural Collector’s Edition Chari-Tee. The line-up of designers who are helping Variety is an impressive list: Pamela Easton and Lydia Pearson from Easton Pearson, Wayne Cooper, Peter Morrissey, Harry Watt and George Gross from Harry Who, Trelise Cooper, Jonathon Ward, Charlie Brown and Marilyn Said of Covers
The Chari-Tee is the result of an idea from Danielle Harris, the chair of Variety Queensland’s Ladies of Variety Events (LOVE), and her mother Di Cant who is one of Australia’s leading figures in the fashion industry. Danielle says that they received an overwhelming response from Australia’s best designers wanting to be part of this initiative:
“Once they heard it was for Variety and that they could design a tee that reflected their signature style, they were committed,” she says.
The full range of 10 Chari-Tees featuring a custom design and the respective designer’s signature will be showcased at the National Retailer Association’s Australian Fashion Design Awards on February 13 at the Skyline Penthouse overlooking Brisbane City. The limited edition Chari-Tees will retail for $59.95 plus the costs of postage and handling, the proceeds of which will go to Variety, The Children’s Charity until stock runs out, so get in quick!!

Size small 8-10
Size medium 10-12
Size large 12-14
The tees will be available from the Variety Queesland office from February 15, and at the National Retail Association’s Australian Fashion Design Festival presented by Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast from 10 March 2008.
